Photovoltaic Installation – 185 kWp – RAWICOM, Poland

185 kW

Poland

As part of our efforts to improve energy efficiency and implement innovative solutions in renewable energy, we carried out a comprehensive investment in a photovoltaic installation at the RAWICOM Research and Development Center.

The installation was designed and executed as a model project to demonstrate that self-generated electricity can deliver real and measurable savings—both for industrial consumption and administrative-office operations.

Technical details of the PV system:

  • We installed 265 SUNOVA SOLAR panels with a capacity of 565 Wp each, totaling approximately 150 kWp.
  • We used 2 HUAWEI inverters: SUN2000-100KTL-M1 and SUN2000-36KTL.
  • We implemented ballast mounting systems on flat roofs and specialized mounts for pitched membrane roofs provided by RAWICOM.
  • Carport: Piled structure on steel foundations, panels mounted using slide-in profiles to ensure roof watertightness.
Equipped with 18 PV modules, each with a capacity of 630 Wp, generating a total of 11.34 kW.
  • Agro Tracker 2V16: Piled structure with dual supports, rotation controlled by a motor with planetary gearbox. Automation includes a sunlight sensor, GPS sun position sensor, anemometer, and limit switches. Equipped with 32 PV modules (630 Wp each) – total output: 20.16 kW.
  • Tracker 2V3: Piled and concreted structure (due to weak soil), rotation controlled by an electric actuator, automation includes sunlight sensor, anemometer, and limit switches. Equipped with 6 PV modules (630 Wp each) – total output: 3.78 kW.

These solutions maximize energy yield while ensuring the durability and safety of the roof coverings. The entire system is integrated with a real-time monitoring platform, enabling full efficiency control and rapid response to anomalies.

Pilot Innovations – AgroPV and Carports

The project also launched two pilot systems:

  • AgroTrackers – mobile sun-tracking systems adapted for agricultural environments. They maximize energy yield while maintaining land usability, whether for agricultural activity or experimental/test purposes.

  • Photovoltaic Carports – parking canopies integrated with PV panels, providing both energy and increased comfort for company parking users.

Thanks to this investment, RAWICOM’s R&D Center significantly reduced grid electricity consumption and CO₂ emissions, while becoming a live demonstrator of modern and sustainable energy technologies.

The project serves as a pilot model for broader PV deployment in industrial and commercial environments and as an inspiration for companies considering renewable energy investments.
